Stephen Kenny will make his return to the Brandywell tonight with the opposing team which he took over at the start of the season after begin sacked by Shamrock Rovers just last year.
The last time these two sides met was at Oriel Park when Derry ran out 3-1 winners. Last time these two sides met at the Brandywell was last season when Dundalk were rock bottom of the league Derry won 4-0.
Dundalk are only 6 points behind the Candystripes who sit on 2nd place whilst the Lillywhites are 4th.
Dundalk are a strong team and strikers Kurtis Byrne and Vinny Fatherty will be a threat.
On the Plus side for Derry Rory Patterson returns from suspension and former Dundalk players Micheal Rafter and Simon Madden having been having a very good season.
Derry City welcome the returns of Goalkeeper Eugene Ferry and forward Davy McDaid who is always a threat on goal and new singing Dean Jarvis.
Dundalk will have new players available as well Francis McCaffrey, Jordan Keeghan.
