MATCH PREVIEW: Limerick Fc -v- Sligo Rovers 24/05/2013

The champions go into Friday nights game in need of a win after St Pats closed the gap at the top to just goal difference after the Bit'o'Reds game against Dundalk was postponed last Saturday. Limerick are looking to build on very solid start to life back in the Premier Division with a positive result against the champions. Last time the two sides met in March Sligo needed a late Jeff Henderson winner to get the better of the newly promoted side.

In team news Rovers have been handed a blow with the news that Evan McMillan will miss up to five weeks after undergoing minor knee surgery this week. Long term absentee Danny North is still a couple of weeks of  full match fitness but there is some good news for Rovers as they welcome Seamus Conneely and Ciaran Kelly back from injury. Also returning are David Cawley and Gavin Peers who both served a one match ban in the 4-0 win over Mervue in the EA cup last Monday.

Limerick have had many injury problems over the last couple of weeks and will defiantly be without Pat Purcell, Steven McGann, Dom Foley, and Robbie Williams. Jeffery Judge also misses out through suspension after being sent off last week against UCD.  Dave O'Leary, Brian O'Callaghan, Aaron Brown, Shaun Kelly, Shane Costelloe and Barry Ryan are all doubtful ahead of tomorrow nights game and will have late fitness tests. But Craig Curran is expected to play wearing protective head gear.
