Wexford won the dress rehearsal last week when the sides met in the
League at Ferrycarrig Park and this will be the first time the clubs
have met in the FAI Ford Cup, a competition Finn Harps won 39 years ago
when they beat St Patrick’s Athletic 3-1 in the final.
That was the era
of the legendary striker Brendan Bradley and in Sean McCarron they
appear to have unearthed a forward with a similar eye for goal. He has
scored in each of his last four league game.
This is the third meeting
between the sides this season with the previous two producing a
scoreless draw and that 2-1 win for Wexford last week. Harps have Kevin
McHugh suspended while Damien McNulty is struggling with tendonitis.
Wexford currently sit joint second in the table, equal on points with their opponents. They have no fresh injury concerns
