On Tuesday night, Shelbourne host UCD in the Quarter Final of Ireland's oldest senior competition in Tolka Park at 8pm.
The last time these two sides met, Shelbourne got their only league win of the season and it was a comprehensive one. However, UCD have made a huge improvement in the last 30 days, picking up results against teams in the upper echelons of the league.
Last Friday night, new manager Johnny McDonnell got a win in his first game in charge, even if it was only against non-league opposition, in the 2nd round of the FAI Cup with a 3-0 win against Bandon. UCD on the other hand lost 4-0 to the cup-cursed St Patrick's Athletic.
